The veterinary practice "AMASVET SL", named in the past
"Alfonso Monge, Asociados Veterinarios",
is a veterinary clinic, that has been running for over 25 years.
Its activities have always been directed towards both clinical work and
research, in particular regarding large animals; cattle (dairy and beef)
and horses.
Currently, our professional team consists of six veterinarians, all with experience in every field of the cattle industry.
However, each one has specialised in specific areas of both, bovine herd health
and equine reproduction.

- Organisation of stays of veterinary students on their last years. We accept 8 or 9 students per year.
Our clinic is situated in Guadalix de la Sierra, in the North of Madrid. Our
clients are farmers from different farms located in central Spain. We also work
with many farms outside our region (Castilla León or Cantabria).
Often, our expertise is required to aid other
veterinary groups from all
over Spain and Portugal in the solution of conflictive problems with herds.
We are in charge of 9.000 dairy cattle and 4000 beef cattle.
Referring to the equine practice:
- 50 mares come to our facilities to be
inseminated per year.
- We freeze semen from 20 stallions per year.
- We sell fresh and chilled semen to other
veterinarians.
- In the last year we have performed
approximately 10 embryo collections.
